Our Service
Initial Consultation
This
is an opportunity for you to meet with Suzanne to decide if you have chosen
the right celebrant. At this consultation you can discuss what you want
for your special day and how Suzanne can help you.
Suzanne can show you her portfolio which includes some sample ceremonies she has
designed and you can discuss what you have envisioned for your perfect
day. Once you have chatted with Suzanne, you can take some time and have a think
about if you would like Suzanne to perform your ceremony.
Ongoing Consultation
If
you decide that Suzanne is the right celebrant for you, the
design process will begin. Suzanne will send you a ceremony kit that includes many
sample ceremonies and dozens of poems, readings, blessings and vows. She
will be available to you for unlimited phone consultations and if
required further face to face consultations can be arranged. You have
total control over the design of your ceremony. You may like one of
the example ceremonies, you may like to make a few
changes here and there or you might like to start from scratch and
design the ceremony together. Whatever you choose, Suzanne will be there to
help you design your perfect ceremony.
Legalities
During
the process there are a number of legal requirements. These
include completing a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) and sighting of
specific documents such as birth certificates and decree absolute (if
you have been previously married). Suzanne will explain to you exactly what
you need to bring with you to the intial consultation when she speaks with
you on the phone and she will assist you with completing the forms. As
your celebrant, Suzanne will then lodge these forms to enable you to proceed
with your marriage. The final document that must be completed is the
Declaration of Marriage. This can be completed closer to the wedding
date and again Suzanne will manage the entire process, this will allow you both to
think about more important things, like planning your wedding!
Ceremony Rehearsal
Once the design of your ceremony is finalised, a rehearsal can be
organised prior to the special day to ensure everything will run
smoothly. Suzanne's priority is to ensure you enjoy yourself and she will
do whatever she can to remove any stress or apprehension you may be
feeling, a rehearsal is a great way to answers any questions or
concerns and for everyone involved to understand exactly what the
ceremony entails.
Ceremony
Suzanne will arrive thirty minutes prior to the beginning of your ceremony to
ensure everything will run smoothly. She is able to provide you with a
sound system and microphone if they are required. Suzanne will ensure that
your special day is everything you dreamt it would be. You, your
partner and your family can be confident that your ceremony will be
just as you planned, so you will be able to enjoy this special moment.
You will then sign the marriage registry and marriage certificate and present you with the certificate to commemorate the occasion.
